With all of the things that happened in April, it’s hard to imagine that May has already arrived. The spring that we anticipated coming during those long winter months has arrived in a flash. It
seemed we closed our eyes in February and presto, it is May! Just as May has come upon us, so will the coming of Jesus, when he returns for his own. My Bible tells me that the trumpet will
sound and in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, Jesus is going to raise dead bodies from the grave. Some of them have been entombed for thousands of years, while others have
been cremated and we would think permanently destroyed. Not so! They shall all come forth with a brand new body. Old blemishes and artificial parts
will no longer be needed for the new body will have no use for them. And in that instant, we who are alive and remain, will be caught up with them
and the metamorphosis transaction of these bodies will take place as we journey to meet Jesus in the sky. This will be the journey of journeys. Most of
us have loved one’s already on the other shore. What joy it will be to be able to meet with them again. As we approach Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day, I
know that mine are already in heaven waiting to one day be reunited. When I think of them, I remember the old song: “If I could hear my mother pray
again”. One day I will be able to witness the fruits of her prayers in person. Mom had a way of talking to the Lord that was unique in its own way. Her relationship with the Lord
was very precious in her prayer life. I am sure you can remember the good things about your mother (if she has already gone on). If you still have you’re your mother, I urge you to
honor her now with great love. The privilege to have your mother and her love with you is a privilege that is second to none. May God Bless you! I hope you can join us in service this month at

This month we get to celebrate Mother’s Day! At Highland Faith the mother’s present that Sunday Morning are given a token of appreciation for the position they hold in the family.
I believe God had a very challenging time finding just the right mother for Jesus. Think about the qualities she had to possess. And as a young woman, God looked upon her heart and knew
that Mary would be a willing vessel to rear his Son, Jesus. Imagine being told you were going to mother the Savior of the world! Walk through a day in the life of the young
Mary as her family and friends learned of the situation, and realize how strong and determined she had to be to stay committed to bringing the new born Christ in to a world where many would
reject him. Together with Joseph, Mary taught him the best that she could, and watched as he matured in to the most significant human who ever walked this earth! How proud she had to be, to call him her son. To know that he was not just a son, but to know something that others had to learn: that her Jesus had come to save the world. And how sad, as she knelt at the
cross where he hung, knowing that his purpose, as defeated as it seemed at the time, had been completed! But praise God! Mary had a great day, when she realized her Son had defeated death, and the grave! She was a mother with a triumphant Son! She
had a Happy Mother’s Day! -rita
