July 2018

July 2018: Firework explosions announce to the world that we are celebrating our freedom as a nation. We are a people who fought and won against the strongest army of the world. A new nation, born to be able to worship the living God as we thought best. Well, we have deviated much from the original effort. But the fact remains we have the freedom to speak our thoughts, and to worship our God. While most of the world remains in bondage in one way or another, we continue to announce to our world that Jesus is alive and well. While some set off fireworks of one kind or another to display their message, my message is stronger than ever: I declare that the greatest message is yet to be given! Jesus is coming again! The trumpet is going to blast and graves are going to burst open, planes will be without pilots and trains without engineers. Cars will be without drivers, schools without teachers, pulpits without ministers …. There will be a total evacuation of all who have been born again in Jesus Christ. Explosions will rock the earth in total disaster. To those left behind, it’s not going to be a pretty picture, but one of chaos that will follow. Many promote the rapture of the church as a quiet time that will hardly be noticed. I propose that it’s going to be the biggest event that this world has experienced since the beginning of time. Paul relates to the happening in the book of Thessalonians as an event that will happen without warning, and one that will happen in the twinkling of an eye. All this seems orderly and without much change, but the aftershocks will be so dramatic that nothing that has ever happened before will in any way compare to what will happen in those few moments. Friend, while there’s time, let Jesus into your life. Behold He stands at the door and knocks. He said, “If any many will open the door, I will come in unto him.” Let Him in today! Don’t delay! Now is the accepted time!

May God Bless You

Banners, Parades and Fireworks mark the calendar. It’s July! And we’re ready to celebrate Independence Day! Our country is struggling. It seems the masses do not want to work together. What happened to people working for a common goal? At this time in our country’s existence, people cannot seem to “agree to disagree”. The “whine” of our current patriots seem to look over the deep, division of ideas and balks at the possibility of working together. We talk about the dwindling attention span of the next generation, yet who wants to listen for very long to the deception of those in leadership? What are our politicians teaching the youth as they consistently berate one another? What
ideals and traditions are we as Americans passing to the next generation? Are they ideals of honesty and hard work? Are they ideas to pursue education and respect history? Are they ideas that can help to establish a solid economy and promote health? Or are they ideas that will harm and destroy communities, and even families. I believe God helped our ancestors to be brave, as they pursued a land that would make us One Nation under God, Indivisible, with Liberty and Justice For All. God blessed America with freedom, and love of family. Let’s not forsake unity. Let’s work to build a strong community at Highland Faith, at school, work, and wherever we live. Love God 1st and see -lives change for
the better! -Rita
